Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to reach us about it.
Effective October 6, 2026
Who we are and what this covers
Ridgework is a roofing CRM operated by Ridgework LLC (“Ridgework,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers our website at ridgeworkcrm.com, the Ridgework web app, and the Ridgework mobile apps (together, the “service”).
It explains what personal information we collect, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Our Terms of Service cover the rest of the relationship.
Two kinds of information
We handle personal information in two different roles, and it helps to know which applies to you.
- Information we collect for ourselves. When you visit the website, ask for a demo, or hold a Ridgework account, we decide how that information is used. This policy describes those decisions.
- Information our customers put into Ridgework. Roofing contractors use the service to keep records about their own customers and jobs. The contractor decides what goes in and how it is used. We store and process it for them, on their instructions.
If you are a homeowner or property owner and a contractor has your information in Ridgework, that contractor is the right place to ask about it. If you write to us instead, we will pass your request to them.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Demo requests. Your name, company, email address, phone number if you give one, crew size, and anything you write in the message.
- Account details. Your name, email address, phone number, role in your company, and a profile photo if you add one.
- Billing. Subscriptions are paid through Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your card details. We receive a record of the subscription and its status, not your full card number.
- Messages to us. What you send when you email us or ask for help.
Information our customers store in the service
- Contacts, leads and jobs: names, property addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and insurance carrier and claim details.
- Job records: photos, documents, notes, tasks, appointments, measurements, floor plans, estimates, invoices and records of payments received.
- Signature records: when someone signs an estimate through a signing link, we record the name they typed, the date and time, and the IP address used.
Information collected automatically
- Log data. Our hosting providers record standard request information such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.
- Error and performance reports. When something breaks or runs slowly in the web app, a report is sent to our error-monitoring provider so we can fix it.
- Cookies. The web app uses cookies to keep you signed in. The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
- Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications in the mobile app, we store a token that lets us send them to your device.
What the mobile app asks your phone for
- Camera, to take job photos and scan documents.
- Photo library, to add existing photos to a job.
- Motion sensors, to read roof pitch while you take a photo.
- Depth sensor (LiDAR) on phones that have one, to scan a room into a floor plan.
Each is used only for the feature that needs it, and you can turn any of them off in your phone's settings. The app does not ask for your location.
How we use information
- To run the service: sign you in, show your records, store your files, and sync phone and desk.
- To send what the service is asked to send: notifications, task reminders, and emails a contractor sends to their own customers from Ridgework.
- To reply to demo requests and support questions.
- To bill for subscriptions.
- To keep the service secure, find and fix faults, and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use customer records to train AI models.
How long we keep it
We keep a contractor's records for as long as their account is open. Items a user deletes go to a recently-deleted list first so they can be recovered.
After an account is closed, we delete its records from our active systems within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep something longer. Backups are overwritten on their normal schedule.
Demo requests and support messages are kept for as long as we need them to respond and follow up.
How we protect it
Information is encrypted in transit, and our storage providers encrypt it at rest. Access to records is enforced in the database itself: each company can reach only its own data, and each user only what their role allows.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@ridgeworkcrm.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. We may need to confirm who you are first.
Depending on where you live, state law may give you further rights, such as the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will not treat you differently for using any of them.
If your information was put into Ridgework by a contractor, please ask that contractor. They control those records and we act on their instructions.
Children
Ridgework is a tool for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Where information is processed
Ridgework is run from the United States, and information is stored and processed there. If you use the service from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect.
